Garment Description

The Ivory Corset Back Overdress is a statement layering piece designed to bring texture, shape and movement to simple dresses or layered over trousers and skirts. Created in a soft natural cream tone, its richly textured fabric gives the piece an organic, handcrafted feel that works beautifully with folklore, cottagecore and heritage-inspired styling.

The fitted upper body is shaped with an adjustable lace-up corset back, allowing the waist to be drawn in for a more defined silhouette. From the waist, the long open-front design falls dramatically towards the ankle, revealing the garment worn underneath and creating movement as you walk.

Fabric loop fastenings at the front add subtle old-world character while keeping the design clean and wearable. Designed specifically as a layering overdress, it can be worn over dresses, tunics, skirts or trousers to completely transform an outfit.

A distinctive cream folklore layering vest for festivals, handfastings, alternative occasions or everyday styling, combining romantic structure with the natural textures at the heart of Celtic Fusion.

Please note: the garment worn underneath is not included.

🧵This has been designed by the designer and founder of Celtic Fusion; Regina Tierney. Her inspiration comes from her home place in County Clare in the West of Ireland where the Celtic Fusion Studio is based. Celtic Fusion was designed to create a connection to nature through unique clothing. The designs are inspired by Celtic spirituality and ancient paganism - beliefs centered around the natural world and the cycle of life. So, naturally, sustainability and ethics are a top priority in the construction of the clothing you purchase. We hope to create a new standard for the impact of fashion with our choice of fabrics, construction processes, and positive work practices. Our production would not be possible without our skilled team in India where Irish designer Regina Tierney works for 3 months of each year over-seeing our entire work process and production in every element to create our ethical designs.

Design Inspiration

Autumn collection 2026

Idir Dúchas meaning between belonging reflects on the space between the turning seasons, the world we live in now and the old stories that continue to shape us. Inspired by the west of Ireland, the collection draws on dúchas, that deep sense of connection to the land, culture, people and landscape we come from.

Design Inspiration

🍀 Designed in the West of Ireland, Celtic Fusion creates folklore-inspired clothing shaped by culture, landscape and ancestral knowledge. Our designs draw from wild nature, traditional craft and the old stories of the land, bringing these influences into clothing that feels expressive, contemporary and made to be worn.

Natural textures, earthy colour, Celtic-inspired detailing and folk styles run throughout our collections, reflecting a strong sense of place. Each piece is created for those who value individuality, craftsmanship and a meaningful connection to the landscapes and stories that continue to inspire us.

Care Instruction

Cotton Slub and Handwoven Cotton Care Instructions

Our cotton fabrics are natural, breathable with a soft textured finish. Machine wash gently at 20°C or hand wash in cool water using a mild / natural detergent. Wash with similar colours and reshape while damp. Hang or lay flat to dry naturally. Do not tumble dry, as this may cause shrinkage and wear to the fibres. Line dry only out of direct sunlight. Iron on a medium setting.
