Jewellery Description

Celtic Knotwork Torc Necklace

This Celtic Knot Necklace Torc is a beautifully handcrafted piece, intricately woven from brass, a blend of copper and zinc, ensuring it is nickel-free and safe for sensitive skin. Its woven knotwork design reflects the ancient artistry of the Celts, making it both a statement piece and a meaningful symbol of heritage and tradition.

What is a Torc?
The Celtic torc necklace, also known as a neck ring, was a highly significant piece of Celtic jewellery, worn as early as 1200 BC up until 600 AD by the ancient Celts. These luxurious torcs were often seen as symbols of status, power, and spiritual connection, worn by warriors, nobility, and druids at the most sacred and special ceremonies.

The Meaning of the Celtic Knot
The Celtic knotwork featured in this necklace is a timeless design representing eternity, unity, and the interconnectedness of life. With no beginning or end, the knotwork symbolises endless cycles and the deep-rooted connection between the physical and spiritual worlds in Celtic tradition.

Design Inspiration

☘️ This has been designed by the designer and founder of Celtic Fusion; Regina Tierney. Her inspiration comes from her home place in County Clare in the West of Ireland where the Celtic Fusion Studio is based. Celtic Fusion was designed to create a connection to nature through unique clothing. The designs are inspired by Celtic spirituality and ancient paganism - beliefs centered around the natural world and the cycle of life. So, naturally, sustainability and ethics are a top priority in the construction of the clothing you purchase. We hope to create a new standard for the impact of fashion with our choice of fabrics, construction processes, and positive work practices. Our production would not be possible without our skilled team in India where Irish designer Regina Tierney works for 3 months of each year over-seeing our entire work process and production in every element to create our ethical designs.

Care Instruction

📌 If you would like to brighten the brooch over time, it can be gently polished with a soft jewellery cloth.
