The Brigid Celtic Tote Bag is inspired by Irish folklore, language and the enduring story of Brigid. Printed on an earthy cotton tote, upcycled from our main production, the artwork combines Celtic knotwork with a verse from an early Irish poem associated with Brigid.
The design features the words “Ingen Dubthaig, Duine úallach, Brigit búadach, Bethad beo”, celebrating Brigid through an old Irish poetic tradition. The circular artwork brings together interwoven Celtic forms, flame-like detailing and a sense of continuity drawn from Ireland’s cultural heritage.
Available in earthy brown, olive green, midnight blue and black this Irish folklore tote bag is practical enough for everyday use while carrying a deeper connection to Irish story, language and design. Ideal as a reusable shopping bag, everyday shoulder tote or meaningful gift for anyone drawn to Brigid, Irish heritage and Celtic art.
These tote bags are created as part of our low-waste production approach, using the smaller lengths and offcuts left over from our main clothing production. Rather than allowing these usable textiles to go to waste, we give them a new purpose by turning them into practical everyday bags. It allows us to make the most of each length of fabric we work with, extending the life of the textile and keeping more material in use for longer.
